Insulated photovoltaic tile
Insulated photovoltaic tile brand TERMOCASA represents a new generation of smart roofs, designed to combine in a single system: electricity production, thermal insulation of the house, roof protection and the elegant design of a classic tile.
Unlike traditional photovoltaic systems, where panels are mounted over the roof and leave unused areas, our system is designed to cover almost the entire roof surface, maximizing energy production and providing a premium, uniform and elegant architectural appearance.
Original invention TERMOCASA
An extremely important aspect is the fact that this insulated photovoltaic tile is our own invention. TERMOCASA, developed and produced by our company.
The product is not imported and is not a standard system on the market. From our information and research, this integrated concept of insulated photovoltaic roof, custom-made according to the shape of each roof, is no longer marketed in this form anywhere in the world.
Product made to order by TERMOCASA
One of the most important advantages of this system is that the insulated photovoltaic tile it is not a standard imported product, but a system manufactured by TERMOCASA, customized for each individual project.
Every roof is different, and our system is designed and manufactured to order based on:
- roof shape;
- its dimensions;
- the number of waters;
- technical areas;
- solar orientation and exposure;
- the client's aesthetic and energy requirements.
Thus, the customer receives a photovoltaic roof optimized exactly for their own home, not a generic product forcibly adapted after construction.
This manufacturing method allows:
- efficient use of the roof surface;
- perfect aesthetic integration;
- reducing space loss;
- faster and more precise assembly;
- a premium and uniform appearance;
- the possibility of creating complex configurations for multi-gable roofs.
Basically, each system becomes a unique project, made specifically for the client's home.
Why is the insulated photovoltaic tile different? TERMOCASA?
Fully energy-active roof
The system allows almost the entire roof surface to be used for solar energy production, without large unused areas between or around the panels. The result is high energy efficiency and a much more aesthetic appearance compared to classic photovoltaic panels mounted over tiles.
Low weight
With a weight of approximately 15 kg/m2, the system is over 3 times lighter than a classic tiled roof, which can exceed 50 kg/m2. This reduces the stress on the house structure and allows installation even on buildings where weight is an issue.
High photovoltaic power
The insulated photovoltaic tile offers a power of approximately ~200 W/m2, equal to modern classic photovoltaic panels, but integrated directly into the roof structure.
Integrated thermal insulation
The sandwich panel includes a high-density insulation layer of at least 4 cm, with the possibility of using higher thicknesses upon customer request. Thus, the roof not only produces energy, but also actively contributes to reducing heat loss.
During winter, the attic of the house can reach positive temperatures of approximately 15°C even when there are negative temperatures outside, significantly reducing heat loss through the roof and contributing to heating savings of up to 30%.
Premium appearance, similar to classic tile
The system is designed for homeowners who want a sleek and modern home, without the industrial look of classic, surface-mounted photovoltaic panels.
Advanced technology for efficiency and safety
Bypass diode for each module
Each photovoltaic panel is equipped with an individual bypass diode. If a module is faulty or shaded, electricity can still flow through the rest of the system, reducing losses and increasing reliability.
"Thermal chimney" type cooling system
Under each row of panels there is a specially designed ventilation channel that evacuates the heat accumulated behind the photovoltaic panels. This technology reduces overheating and contributes to increasing energy efficiency.
Smart reflective layer
The sandwich panel contains a special reflective layer:
- in summer it reflects heat outwards and reduces overheating of the attic;
- In winter it reflects heat inwards and helps maintain temperature.
Condensate drainage
Longitudinal mini-channels are integrated under the photovoltaic panels for efficient condensation removal and protection of the structure over time.
Superior resistance
Excellent hail resistance
Due to the smaller photovoltaic surfaces and integrated structure, the system can better withstand hail compared to large classic photovoltaic panels.
High mechanical resistance
The system supports approximately 120 kg of point pressure, sufficient for a person to move on the roof during installation or maintenance.

Excellent fire protection
The two-layer metal construction provides very good fire resistance and additional safety for the home.
Simplified assembly and maintenance
Sandwich panels are available in sizes between 1 m² and 6 m² and can be configured exactly to the shape of the roof. All photovoltaic modules are pre-interconnected and work as a unitary system, with connections between panels being made quickly via MC4 connectors.
In the event of a module failure, it can be easily replaced without major interventions on the entire roof.
The roof of the future
Insulated photovoltaic tile TERMOCASA it is not just a photovoltaic system. It is a completely smart roof, which:
- produces energy;
- thermally insulates;
- protects the home;
- offers premium aesthetics;
- reduces energy consumption;
- maximizes the active roof surface.
